At every play group, playground and preschool, there are moms and dads who credit the Breastfeeding Center as a lifesaving resource for them and their families. Both of us and our babies benefitted from the expertise, compassion and support we found at the Center. We are grateful…and we are convinced that the critically important services the Center offers must be available to more women and families each year.

Have you been to a class or consult at the Breastfeeding Center lately, or tried to register for a class? Then you know firsthand that we need more space!

That’s why we are honored and excited to spearhead an urgent fundraising campaign called Building a Better Nest. Our goal is to expand the space available for classes and consultations and bring these vital services to more moms, dads, and babies each year.

In order to expand, we must raise $100,000 over the next six months! We hope we can count on you for a gift of $100, $250, $500, $1000, or $5000…or whatever amount is comfortable for you. Please select from the options on the right to contribute. Your contribution to the Building a Better Nest Campaign will allow us to achieve this much overdue expansion.

From pre-natal consultations to making the transition back to work, the Breastfeeding Center and its nonprofit arm, Breastfeeding Outreach for Greater Washington, provides classes, consultations and expertise that makes a big difference in the lives of thousands of babies and families each year.
