General guidelines for choosing a nursing bra:
- Typical size increase is one band size and two cup sizes from pre-pregnancy.
- Engorgement is temporary, and women often return to the size they were at delivery.

- Take time to bend over and adjust the fit with each size you try.
- If your bra feels snug, try a larger cup before changing band size.
- We recommend you hand wash and hang dry your bras. If machine washing, use a garment bag,
and wash on delicate with baby’s clothes. Never use the dryer.
- Start with 3-4 nursing bras so you can wear a clean bra every day. Consider different
styles till you learn what you prefer.
- Expert bra fitting available – ask the lactation consultant to assess for flat, inverted,
or inelastic nipples.
