Solid Food Instructor
Busy non-profit seeks a knowledgeable teacher for our Introduction to Solid Foods Class. Candidate must be well versed in AAP, WHO, LLL, etc research on introducing solid foods, up to date with current research about children’s nutrition and infant health required, teaching experience required, and breastfeeding knowledge required.
Our solid food class is offered once a month. Minimum two year commitment required.
Other knowledge but not limited to:
- Knowledge about other theories on introducing solid foods, feeding children, etc (i.e., Baby Lead Weaning, Ellyn Satter).
- Knowledge about current market offerings available in grocery retailers for baby food (i.e., frozen, jarred, pouches).
- Knowledge about organic vs. conventional foods for infants.
- Knowledge about how to make homemade baby food.
- Mother of young children who has real experience, tips and tricks.
- Breastfeeding first-hand experience.
- Available to teach this class long-term.
- Bring other benefits to the Center as well.

Part-time Front Office and Retail Position
Busy Non-Profit seeks a highly motivated, responsible, multi tasking individual for a part-time front office and retail position. Candidate must be punctual, organized, must have strong attention to detail, and must have the ability to provide exceptional customer service.
Responsibilities include but not limited to:
- Greeting clients
- Check In /Check out clients
- Answering multi line phones
- Scheduling Appointments
- Taking phone messages
- Confirm appointments
- Assisting with the daily functions of a small shop including use of a cash register, assisting with sales, product knowledge, and rentals of equipment
- Ensure smooth functioning of office systems and provide general office support
- Confirm that all supplies are ordered and stocked
- Filing and paperwork
- Opportunities for advancement
Qualifications:
- Mature person
- 1 year retail experience
- 1 year front office experience
- Able to learn new jobs quickly
- Able to work in a busy atmosphere
- Ability to stand for long hours and lift 20 lbs
- Ability to work independently and in a team setting.
- Good humor and general problem solving skills
- Good oral communication skills
- Willingness to learn new things
- Willing to make a 2 year commitment
Our office hours are 8:30am-5:00pm Mon-Fri 10:00am-4:00pm Saturday
