Cancellation Policy 

The Breastfeeding Center understands that life with babies can be challenging to schedule. Occasionally you may not be able to make an appointment or class, and that’s ok! When this happens we kindly ask that you notify us 24 hours prior to your appointment. This will enable us to offer that appointment or class time to another family in need.

Missed or significantly late appointments or classes represent a cost to us, to you, and to other families–sometimes urgently in need of care–who could have been seen at the time set aside for you. To assist you in scheduling, The Breastfeeding Center sends reminder texts and emails to you regarding appointments and classes (for those not made on the same day).

 
 

The easiest way to cancel or reschedule your one-on-one appointment is using the online portal. To cancel or reschedule a group class, use the link in your confirmation email. You can also cancel by texting our office at 202.293.5182, during regular business hours.

Cancellations made via email or to any phone number other than 202.293.5182 (please TEXT rather than calling) during business hours may not be confirmed, and thus may be charged the cancellation fee, as all of our email accounts are not monitored 24/7.

Any appointment not begun within 15 minutes of the scheduled time, no-show, cancellation, or reschedule sent after hours, to an inappropriate phone number or email, or occurring within 24 hours of an appointment, will be $50.*

*Please understand that insurance companies consider this charge to be entirely the patient’s responsibility.
