Imani Mallard MSN, RN, IBCLC
Imani is a Registered Nurse and International Board Certified Lactation (IBCLC) Consultant with years of experience supporting families in a variety of settings, including the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU), birth centers, and the community. Before becoming a nurse, she also worked as a doula, which continues to shape her holistic and family-centered approach to lactation care.
She is passionate about helping families feel confident as they navigate breastfeeding, bottle feeding, and the transition home after the NICU or birth center. Imani’s approach combines clinical expertise with compassion, creating a supportive and affirming space for every family.
Specialties : NICU-to-home transitions, premature infant feeding, early weeks of the newborn period, inclusive lactation support for Black women and LGBTQ+ families.
